Pleasure Craft Theatre and the Cumberland Culture and Arts Society is gearing up to present their fifth season of Live Improvised Soap Opera in Cumberland!
This is a long-format version of improvisation that features recurring characters and plot lines telling a story over a period of five episodes, like an ongoing soap opera for all ages audiences, with live musical accompaniment. The theme this year is superheroes!
In this show, the metropolis of Dodgem is a city in turmoil, as the forces of good and evil collide. Reporters at the paper follow the story of retired heros Stupendous Man and Ginger Girl as they battle the nefarious Supercookie and his mutant henchmen who have created a highly addictive cookie that turns addicts into monsters!
Will evil prevail? Or will goodness and justice triumph? We have no idea! There will only be five episodes of this potentially brilliant show, so don’t miss it!
