Library Shares the Love this October Library Month

October is Canadian Library Month and Vancouver Island Regional Library staff and customers are sharing the love!

For the month of October, VIRL branches will be showing off I Love My Library, a campaign that celebrates our love of libraries with free I Love My Library pins and bookmarks. Many VIRL branches will also be hosting Customer Appreciation Days throughout the month of October.

Customers who Love their library are encouraged to visit their local branch and put on a pin to show their love – because the sentiment is shared both ways!

Library Month is a national initiative developed by library partners from across the country to help raise public awareness of the cherished role libraries play in the lives of all Canadians. Based on the CLA’s Canadian Library Month, VIRL launched an “I Love My Library” theme for the entire month of October.

For more information about October “I Love My Library” Month, visit your local library branch or visit us at virl.bc.ca/i-love-my-library.
