Foggy Mountain Fall Fair 2013

Join us for Cumberland’s annual Foggy Mountain Fall Fair – Mountain Village style! From 10-5 at 1st and Dunsmuir on October 5, 2013.

This FREE fun filled family day includes heritage arts and crafts, food and harvest demos, guided trail walks and heritage tours, museum tours, compost and gardening education, bear awareness activities, cake auction, vendors, live music and much much more!

Bring your apples down for the old fashioned apple press! Churn butter by hand and learn more about how early Cumberland prepared for the winter season.

Don’t miss out on the much anticipated “Cumberland Pie of the Year” contest! Entry details are coming soon and look for changes from previous years. Win fame, fortune and the prestige of being an award winning Village pie maker!

Events continue into the evening with dining specials and a big dance party with Giraffe Aftermath at the Waverley Hotel in support of the Cumberland Community Forest Society and celebrating their new plans to purchase an additional 50 hectares of threatened forests surrounding the Village.

The Foggy Mountain Fall Fall is presented by the Cumberland Museum and Archives with community partners including the Cumberland Community Schools Society and the Cumberland Forest Society.
