Woodstove 1st Annual Film Festival is seeking submissions

 

The Woodstove Festival is pivoting this year to offer the 1st Annual Film Festival (March 19, 2021) and has projects that are seeking local submissions.

• Create a 1 to 3 minute short video that will be showcased between artistic performances— tell a story or a joke, show off your dance routine, teach a new skill, make a little animation — the possibilities are endless!

Prizes will be awarded for Festival Choice, Audience Choice, and every submission will be entered into a random draw.

Flash Fiction Contest from Stories Less Spoken

• Do you have a fantastic super short written story to share?

Stories Less Spoken Podcast making a short film, and is looking for writers from the Comox Valley to submit their flash fiction for a chance to be featured in Stories Less Spoken: From the Valley which will be featured in the Woodstove Film Festival this year.
There is no fee to apply, submissions must be 750 words or less, on any theme.
The writer of the chosen story will be given a $50.00 honorarium, will have their story read by a performer and the piece will be filmed and entered into the Woodstove Film Festival.
The deadline for submissions is Monday February 1st.
