From now till June 30th the Cumberland Community Forest Society (CCFS) is engaged in the final push to close the gap and complete the purchase of a beautiful 40 ha parcel known as
Space Nugget directly adjacent to the Village of Cumberland. This is the culmination of a massive effort by the Cumberland Forest community and we are super excited!
To mark the auspicious occasion and to push us through to the finish line and on to our next conservation efforts – the CCFS is running a campaign to boost our monthly donor base. Anyone who signs on as a monthly donor ($20/month min.) OR bumps their monthly donation by $5 for more between now andJune 30th is entered to win 2 luxury nights at the Kingfisher Oceanside Resort & Spa!

One we have secured Space Nugget (#savespacenugget) we’ll be turning our attention to 60 + more hectares of very special forest on the southwest of the Village along Perseverance Creek. This area is filled with wetlands, floodplain forests, riparian areas and beloved trails like Bronco’s Perseverance, Buggered Pig and China Creek.
