Outdoor and Wilderness Camps at Comox Lake for Summer 2016
The Cumberland Lake Wilderness Society (CLWS) is the new operator at Cumberland Lake Park and they have a lot more than just camping going on this year. Through outdoor education, the non-profit Society wants to improve the relationship and understanding between wilderness and people, so they are running a variety of camps this summer.
Programs range in age from 5 year olds to adults and include paddling, rock climbing and wilderness skills. CLWS Guides have years of experience to offer and have a unique perspective about the practical and personal dimensions of reaching your full potential and knowing how to work with nature. “These programs are fun, educational and are about connecting people to the natural world.” says Program Guide Will Kosloski. “We really believe that a healthy community starts with positive relationships with wilderness.”
Registration is now open for programs that begin as early as June 24. All classes are run at the Comox Lake Park site, site B.
