The Cumberland Community Forest Society has recently purchased a plot of forest integral to our local watershed and will be celebrating October 9th at 1pm with a live facebook event.
The recent purchase of 225 acres along Perseverance Creek is part of an ongoing mission to preserve forest and wetlands around the community of Cumberland. Since its inception, the CCFS has purchased and protected over 500 acres of privately owned forest next to the Village for ecological protection and low impact recreation.
