Bingo is back for the 2016/2017 season in Cumberland

Cumberland Community Schools Society (CCSS) in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #28 are excited to announce that Bingo is back in Cumberland starting Wednesday, September 7th. Doors open at 6:15pm for socializing with the games starting at 6:45pm.

“We are excited to be offering a weekly Bingo program again this season,” said Kate Ashton, CCSS Program Coordinator. “Our goal this year is to make Bingo more accessible for everyone. If you can’t be there for the beginning, that’s ok. Come when you can, and stay for as long or little as you like. Don’t understand bingo lingo? Join us on the first Wednesday of the month. We’ll be running a slower night, with more beginner friendly games.”

Bingo will run every Wednesday at the Cumberland Legion, 2770 Dunsmuir Avenue. The Accumulator game is played twice a night, and the concession is fully stocked for all your snacking needs. Each individual game costs $.50 with special games costing $1.00. “We love this awesome community social night, and hope that it will continue to be a successful fundraiser for CCSS,” said Sue Loveless, CCSS Executive Director. Net proceeds from this event support our registered charity efforts including a healthy lunch program, free afterschool programming, and a dropin youth centre at Cumberland Community School.”
