International Workers Day and Mayday celebrations happen all over the world – experience it Cumberland style with an old fashioned community bean supper featuring live music, stories from Cumberland’s colourful history, and a tasty plate of working class food; biscuits, baked beans and slaw!

For 2014 the Cumberland Museum and Archives welcomes Jon Bartlett and Rika Ruebsaat for an evening of BC traditional song and story, together with a presentation of archival photographs. Jon and Rika are cultural historians with a great interest in traditional songs from the logging, fishing and mining industries.
