Community Campus Amalgamation Meeting

IMPORTANT MEETING TONIGHT from 6-8pm, June 11, 2014, at Cumberland Junior School to learn more about the amalgamation this fall of Cumberland Elementary School and Cumberland Junior School together to become a K-9 Community Learning Campus tentatively called the Cumberland Community School.

There have been concerns expressed about news of plans for tree removal on the school grounds behind the portables along Egremont. There have been concerns shared about mixing primary kids with teenagers.

Tonight’s visioning session is an opportunity for all stakeholders (parents, kids, teachers, staff and community partner organizations) to be involved in shaping the character of the new school.

The most current draft of the School Grounds Plan will be on display and the SD Director of Operations and landscape architect will be present to answer questions and address concerns over the removal of trees from the Elementary School grounds.
Free childcare and light snacks too. Be there tonight and get involved.
